Prieto Pariente Viognier
Prieto Pariente discovered a tucked-away vineyard of Viognier during his exploration of the Valladolid province. The wine they produced with it is aromatic, rich in flavor, and has a substantial body. The older vines contribute not only fresh notes but also delightful minerals, resulting in an impressively smooth aftertaste.
This 100% Viognier undergoes spontaneous fermentation, with some of it taking place in stainless steel tanks and the rest in 300L French oak barrels. The wine is aged for a duration of 6 months.

TASTING NOTES
Prieto Pariente is a fresh wine venture started by Martina and Ignacio Prieto Pariente, backed by the expertise of the second generation of the Prieto wine family. This new endeavor focuses on selecting very old vineyards located in the province of Valladolid. Martina and Ignacio are strong advocates for sustainable viticulture and place great importance on honoring the origins of their wines.
The wines from Prieto Pariente are defined by their uniqueness, the distinctiveness of their territory, and careful selection. The winery proudly connects with regions like Castilla y León, Valladolid, the high plateau area known as Paramos in northern Spain, and the mineral-rich hills of Cebreros and Bierzo surrounding the area.
Prieto Pariente strives to produce wines that showcase unique personalities, marked by a refreshing and complex profile.
The “Páramos de Valladolid” series features two red blends: El Origen de Prieto Pariente and Prieto Pariente. The grapes for these wines are sourced from various carefully chosen vineyards across the province, ensuring each bottle is unique and elegant.
Additionally, Martina and Ignacio have discovered a small hidden vineyard featuring Viognier in the Paramos of Valladolid. The grapes from this vineyard are used to craft an aromatic wine with both volume and body.
